Caleta de Fuste in Fuerteventura

Caleta de Fuste in Fuerteventura is one of the main tourist resorts on the island; and is busy all year round because of the excellent climate in the Canary Islands.  The resort attracts visitors from the United Kingdom, Ireland, Germany, Italy, France, Poland, and other European countries. Many people from the other Canary Islands visit it during the summer months. It is a popular resort with families and couples, as it is relaxing and fairly quiet.  The resort was built up over 20 years from the mid 1980’s, so is a modern resort with no old buildings or old centre. It is a great place to use as a central base, to explore the rest of the island from there, and return back for dinner.

Everything is within 15 minutes walk of the promenade and beach.  The beach is a wide expanse of yellow sand, and is perfect for sunbathing and family activities, and the sea is relatively safe as waves are small.

  • There aren’t enough shops
  • There aren’t enough authentic Spanish bars and restaurants
  • It’s not lively enough
  • There are rocks in the sea at low tide
